Frank's Photo Gallery

These are some photos taken during my trip to New Zealand in November/December 2001. Click on the images to enlarge.

Jurong Bird Park, Singapore - a good way to spend a 16 hour stop-over on the way to New Zealand. (All photos from Jurong are of captive birds)

Auckland, New Zealand. Walking the coast-to-coast walk, you pass Mt. Eden which is a vulcano. Most birds seen on the way were introduced species.

Rotorua. Maori Hangi

Lady Knox Geyser and the Wai-O-Tapu Scenic reserve

Tongariro Crossing

Sea kayaking in Abel Tasman National Park

Walking in Abel Tasman National Park. You can't really see it on the photos, but take my word for it, it rained the whole time.

Budget Accommodation in Greymouth

Hiking on the Franz Josef Glacier. You can't really see it on the photos, but take my word for it, it rained the whole time.

Near Lake Matheson.

Makarora.

Gull at Wanaka

Milford Sound. Again it rained non-stop

Bungy jumping in Queenstown - notice I'm holding the camera, not jumping.

Queenstown

Invercargill. The only place where it didn't rain while I was there, but even so the people were prepared just in case...

Stewart Island

Invercargill again. The bird is a Silvereye.

Dunedin. Elm Wildlife Tours will take you out to see penguins, seals, sealions and perhaps albatros.

What country was this again?

Christchurch.

Arthur's Pass. Devils Punchbowl Falls and a Kea.

Kaikura.

Picton.

Back in Rotorua.

Mt. Maunganui

Back in Auckland
